Our kids lessons explore the fundamentals of painting & drawing, and are suitable for ages 8+Up. We will explore famous artists, art history and the principles & elements of art. We offer 3 semesters a year (Fall, Winter & Spring), with 10 classes in each semester. We will dabble in acrylics, watercolours, pencil crayons, pencil, charcoal, pastels, marker and more! Each student receives their own sketchbook to use in and out of class to work out ideas, and learn the value of process work. Classes are taught by me! (Gallery Owner & Artist Kerry Walford). Students are shown techniques, encouraged to try new things and add their own personal touch, but above all have fun!

Adult Paint & Play Workshops ~ Open for Registration
Fall, Winter & Spring Workshops ~ all skill levels welcome!
Saturdays
10:00am to 12noon
6 classes/workshop
Paint & Play workshops are designed to offer students of ALL experience levels the freedom to play, loosen up and explore techniques, without the worry of creating a 'masterpiece.' Taught by me! (Gallery Owner & Artist Kerry Walford). Using my own tried and true techniques we will explore the landscape together, through a series of demonstrations with lots of time for students to play. Using a limited palette of just the primary colours (yellow, red & Blue, plus white) students will gain a much better appreciation and understanding of colour mixing. You will learn basic techniques for creating an underpainting, colour blocking, layering, and adding shadows and highlights. We will paint on paper, wood panels and canvas. Each student will be provided with their own art kit of supplies to last through the workshop and then some.
