I have decided to postpone my Fall Paint & Play workshops to the Spring, in order to keep up with the increasing demand for new art from my representing galleries and private commissions. I appreciate your patience!

What Are Paint & Play Workshops?
Paint & Play workshops are designed to offer students from beginner to intermediate levels the freedom to play, loosen up and explore painting techniques used by Canadian Landscape Artist, Kerry Walford in Oils or Acrylics. Please ensure you're familiar with Kerry's work here before signing up for a workshop.
"Using my own tried and true techniques we will explore the beautiful and intuitive process of painting the landscape together. I will share a series of demonstrations using different techniques and providing my tips & tricks along with ample time for students to play & practice. Each workshop will cover fundamentals (colour mixing & underpainting) and delve into more advanced techniques such as creating atmosphere, and choosing colours that pop!"
~ Kerry Walford
Using a limited palette of colours students will gain an appreciation and very good understanding of colour mixing. Each workshop will explore techniques for creating an underpainting, colour blocking, layering, adding shadows, highlights and final details. We will paint & play on paper, and canvas. All art materials and supplies will be provided.
The acrylic workshop comes with a take-home art kit (so that each student gets to keep their own brushes, paint, palette, etc...). These Kits come with all the goodies needed in our workshop (paint, brushes, palettes, canvas, painting papers & more!
Covid Safety & Protocols:
With the Ontario covid-mandates being removed we no longer require masks to be worn in the gallery space. Those who wish to wear a mask are welcome to do so. Our teachers will not be required to wear masks, but all choices will be respected.
