​Wildwood Kids Art Classes

Creative Exploration for Ages 5 & Up

At Wildwood, we introduce students to the fundamentals of painting, drawing, and clay through fresh, engaging lessons that encourage creativity, confidence, and fun. Each 10-week semester (Fall, Winter & Spring) features a new set of projects inspired by artists, art movements, and the changing seasons — so returning students always have something new to explore.

Each semester students experiment with a variety of materials, including:

• Acrylics, watercolours, pencil crayons, markers, pastels & more!

• We always have one Clay project each semester

• We choose a unique medium or technique that varies each term — keeping things fresh, exciting, and creatively challenging like alcohol-inks or print-making!

 

Every child receives their own sketchbook to develop ideas and explore the creative process, along with an art box to store their works in progress.

Classes are grouped by age and designed to be process-focused and age-appropriate, with plenty of encouragement, step-by-step guidance, and room for personal expression.

Flexible Age Groups

Our age groups are flexible - they help us place students with peers at a similar stage of development, but families are welcome to choose the class time that works best for them. Siblings and friends are welcome to attend together, and we’re happy to help you decide which group is the best fit. Our youngest students should be at least 5 years old when the semester begins — being a month or two shy is okay, depending on readiness.

Fees (Per 10-Class Semester)​

All Ages: $282.50 ( $250 + HST )
Each class is 60-minute and includes quality art supplies, guided instruction, and participation in our Student Art Show to celebrate your child’s creativity!​

Multi-Student Discount

We’re happy to offer a 10% discount for families enrolling more than one child in the same semester — a small thank-you for growing with us!

Student Art Show

Each semester ends with a special Student Art Show—family and friends are invited to celebrate our students' creativity! Shows are typically held the second-last Saturday of the semester so students can take their artwork home the following week.
