Kerry Walford and Adam Peet opened up Wildwood Art Gallery & Studio in their historic 1840’s built home in November of 2018. The couple discovered the home in 2015, and it was love at first sight. Shortly after having their daughter Clementine, Kerry decided to fully pursue her passion for painting and opened up the gallery. Walford specializes in oil paintings inspired by the rural Ontario landscape, to find out more visit KerryWalford.com.
Pre-covid, our gallery was a hub for live events, including various art shows throughout the year, yoga, live music, and paint nights hosted at the gallery as well as at local businesses Twisted Lemon (Cayuga) & Concession Road Brewing Co. (Jarvis).
Since the onset of Covid we have adapted and prioritized our focus to the needs of the community and our family. We've seen a great increase in the demand for in person art classes, which we're thrilled to provide. Adult paint workshops are taught by Artist/Owner Kerry Walford, and our kids classes are taught by Morgan Hann. We offer in person art classes for kids ages 8+Up afterschool and paint workshops for adults throughout the year. We also have a series of online art lessons available through Patreon.
Our gallery space and online shop is focused on highlighting local emerging artists. We currently represent the work of local Artists & Artisans, Ingrid vanReenen, Jane Dickson, CMBear, Arrowsmith Soap and Kerry Walford.
Curated art kits are another exciting new offering from the gallery, which will be available to pre-order through our online shop at select times throughout the year, to help bring quality art supplies at a great price to Haldimand County.
To provide a welcoming and dynamic space (both in person and online) that encourages creativity, learning and enjoyment through the arts.
