Policies, Terms & Conditions
Communication
Due to the number of students we serve, most communication is sent by email. Please add info@WildwoodCayuga.com to your safe sender list to ensure you receive important updates, reminders, and notifications.
⸻
Art Supplies & Clothing
All art supplies and materials are provided by Wildwood. Aprons are available, but we recommend that students wear clothing that can get messy.
⸻
Student Code of Conduct
Every student has the right to learn in a safe, positive, and creative environment.
Students are expected to treat instructors, classmates, artwork, our studio and studio materials with respect. If a student’s behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or interferes with the learning experience of others, parents/guardians will be notified promptly.
We will work closely with students and families to resolve concerns whenever possible. However, if disruptive or unsafe behaviour continues, Wildwood reserves the right to remove a student from the program without reimbursement of fees.
⸻
Missed Classes
Wildwood is unable to offer refunds for classes missed due to illness, vacations, extracurricular activities, or other scheduling conflicts.
If space is available, we will do our best to offer a make-up class. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and are offered at Wildwood’s discretion.
⸻
Class Cancellations
In the event that Wildwood must cancel a class due to severe weather, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, parents/guardians will be notified by:
• Email
• A notice posted on www.WildwoodCayuga.com
Whenever possible, we will offer a make-up class. However, make-up classes cannot be guaranteed and refunds will not be issued.
Please note that Wildwood no longer follows school board closures when determining whether classes will run. Because our classes take place later in the day, road and weather conditions can differ significantly from those present when school closure decisions are made.
We will make our own determination regarding class cancellations and will generally strive to remain open whenever it is safe to do so. We encourage parents to use their own judgment regarding travel conditions and to make the decision that is best for their family.
If you are ever unsure whether classes are running, please contact us at 905-929-4902 or info@WildwoodCayuga.com.
⸻
Photographs
From time to time, Wildwood may take photographs of students participating in classes for use on our website, social media channels, and promotional materials.
If you do not wish for yourself or your child to be photographed, please notify us in writing at the time of registration.
⸻
Refund Policy
We want every child to have a positive experience at Wildwood.
If our classes are not the right fit for your child, please let us know within the first two classes. We will work with you to find a solution and, where appropriate, provide a refund in accordance with this policy.
Refunds are prorated based on the number of classes attended and may be subject to administrative fees.
⸻
Parents & Student Readiness
Parents are welcome to spend a few minutes helping their child settle into a new class. However, students should be able to participate independently after a brief adjustment period.
If a child is unable to remain in class without a parent after approximately 10 minutes, we may ask the parent and child to leave for the day and try again at the next class.
If an instructor believes a student is unable to participate successfully in the program, we will contact the parent/guardian to discuss next steps. Wildwood reserves the right to remove a student from a program if it is necessary to maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment for all participants.
