About The Event

We're thirlled to be exhibiting the extremely life-like and personality filled pastel portraits of Ingrid vanReenen.  Ingrid will be showing a variety of her original drawings, examples of her commission work, prints & cards.  The show will run from Thursday November 21st - Saturday February 1st.

A little about Ingrid vanReenen:

My pets are not my whole life, but they make my life whole.  It is because of this that I have developed a passion for creating lasting memories of beloved pets in pastel. More recently, I have also spent time thinking of original ideas that inspire me to create and would like to take these thoughts and put more of them onto paper this year.

I live in the country outside of the small town of Cayuga in Ontario, Canada and have had a love of animals for as long as I can remember. I understand the important role that our pets play in our lives and am excited to be able to share my love of animals through my art work.

After studying Math and Science in University, followed by a degree in Education, I began dabbling in photography and later drawing in soft pastel and pastel pencil.  I enjoy looking for the small details that make each pet unique and conveying those in my work.
